20 years after, Ethiopia and Eritrea formally proclaim a conclusion to its fringe war


The leaders of Ethiopia and Eritrea have marked a presentation saying that the "condition of war that existed between the two nations has arrived at an end", Eritrea's data serve tweeted.

Before now, a peace bargain that finished the 1998-1999 outskirt war between the two nations has never been completely actualized and there has been strain between the neighbors from that point forward.

The revelation came at a historic point meeting between the two nations' pioneers in Eritrea's capital, Asmara. The gathering between Eritrea's President Isaias Afewerki and Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was the first between the neighbors' heads of state for about two decades.

On Monday, the pioneers concurred that "another time of peace and fellowship has been introduced", Eritrea's Information Minister Yemane Gebre Meskel said on Twitter.
